Orange Brandy Flavoring - 1 oz
Super Strength Orange Brandy Flavoring
A typical 5-6 gallon batch uses 1-2 drams (0.125-0.25 oz), depending on the flavor and desired intensity. Add the flavor during kegging or bottling, starting with the lower amount and adjusting gradually to taste. Mix gently and sample before treating the entire batch.
Flavor Profile and Beverage Ideas
Orange Brandy combines bright orange peel with warm, rounded brandy-like depth. It suits Belgian strong ale, winter warmer, imperial stout, barleywine, traditional mead, and fortified-style wine. In cider, use a light hand to keep the orange from covering the apple. Vanilla, dark cherry, cacao, cinnamon, clove, and oak work especially well. In a dry base, Orange Brandy will read sharper; a little residual sweetness will make the aroma and finish feel fuller.
