Hot Chili Flavoring - 1 oz
Super Strength Hot Chili Flavoring
A typical 5-6 gallon batch uses 1-2 drams (0.125-0.25 oz), depending on the flavor and desired intensity. Add the flavor during kegging or bottling, starting with the lower amount and adjusting gradually to taste. Mix gently and sample before treating the entire batch.
Flavor Profile and Beverage Ideas
Hot Chili provides direct chile heat with a clean pepper finish. Use it sparingly in stout, porter, amber ale, hard cider, mead, or Ranch Water. It is best layered behind chocolate, dark fruit, or citrus rather than treated as the only flavor. Cacao, cinnamon, cherry, mango, lime, and agave help shape the heat. In a dry base, Hot Chili will read sharper; a little residual sweetness will make the aroma and finish feel fuller.
